Officials said that two groups of the Army have been deployed in the Sinhagad Road area, which is badly affected by the floods. Apart from this, NDRF, fire brigade as well as district and city special teams have been deployed for assistance and rescue operations in times of disaster.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said low-lying areas have been inundated due to heavy rains, and if necessary, the affected people will be airlifted to safer places.
